So far, the film has been selected in almost 20 international festivals and has won 11 awards! (such as, to name a couple: Best Children’s Film at the Uppsala International Short Film Festival (Swe) and two awards at the Giffoni Film Festival (Ita).

And the great news is that its international journey is just at the beginning, as we have recently applied to a number of international film festivals in the US and worldwide, including the Lebanese Independent Film Festival, the Santa Barbara International Film Festival [Academy Award Qualifying], the Florida Film Festival [Academy Award Qualifying] and New York International Children’s Film Festival [Academy Award Qualifying].
Needless to say, we’ll keep you updated also in the upcoming year, especially once we know where it will be screened in the US, in case you and Cami would like to attend.
Moreover, we are considering the opportunity to arrange Oscar qualifying screenings in LA some times next year, and we have a project of transporting the remarkable story of Ali and his brother also in other film forms, such as a feature film or a TV series, which is something we would love to discuss with you, if interested, considering you have been one of the earliest supporter of the short film!
